Fionn sat there on his favorite ripped up and stained chair, as he usually did on his empty Friday nights after the deals had dried up, playing some crappy old game or another on his Playstation 2, the whir of the dying old game systems fan a fitting sound to accompany that of the random generic explosion effects echoing out from the badly taken care of speakers, the duct tape wrapped around them tightly to keep the from falling apart onto the surprisingly clean rugs, which Fionn cleaned regularly almost as a statement.
And that's when it happened, there were no warnings, no siren or sound, no wail of concrete floors fault, no screams to be heard as the pillars shattered and the world itself seemed to shatter. "Oh bugger all." Was the last sound to escape the drug dealers lips as his building fell from underneath him, his Playstation instantly destroyed by falling rubble and rocks, all of the progress he had made in that generic game was gone instantly, the speakers however, had no rugs to shatter onto anymore.
It was a few minutes later that he would awake, the sounds of engines and sirens wailing around him as he attempted to stand. There was about ten feet of rubble over him, at least ten tons worth of broken dreams and shattered memories, he hadn't wanted anyone to see him doing any super hero level sh*t today but whatever, it's not like he really had a choice in this situation anyway.
He put both his hands on the ground and began to push his back upwards against the weight, his power keeping himself from damage as he hardened the worlds strongest jacket, its seams and stitches keeping together masterfully as his muscles groaned and his blood boiled, it had been a long time since he had had to lift something this heavy. A few moments would pass as officials attempted to dig out more of the bodies, the search at that point being mostly for the dead, until of course a massive plume of dust would rise into the air and about ten people would see very clearly a man in his early twenties with a huge sword on his back stepping out of the ruins, a massive pile of debris falling down around him, plummeting after his explosive entrance as he smiled at the camera and waved. Before running off into his usual system of alleyways and alcoves like a coward.
"sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t!" He said quietly under his breath as he ran, despite having survived much worse, the weight of the building had certainly taken its tole, and having been seen on camera? This couldn't possibly end well for him, he needed a place to hide out now.
Looking at his phone he scrolled through his contacts, mostly people who bought from him or supplied him, he truly only did have one friend in this world, but LIVING with her? He could not possibly imagine a worse hell, but then again, he did need a place to stay...
He climbed up the monorail line and leaned against one of the light posts fixed to it, he didn't have time to pay. The train came a second later, it's speed amazing but not too crazy for the reflexes of a man such as himself, he struck his hand out and caught onto the machine as it passed by, slipping between the cracks and clinging to the side of the train as it continued on its journey to the other side of town where his friend lived, he briefly noticed a police helicopter before the train ducked into a tunnel.
Fionn arrived at the apartment number and knocked on the door, his knocks echoing out through the hallway he stood in as he waited for the girl, he needed in now, even if it was as late as it was. As soon as the girl would answer the door he would step inside, covered in dust and ashes. "Hey (huff) Sera! (Heavy breathing) My apartment sort of... stopped existing, do you think I could (Huff) stay here for like... ever?"
